Introduction
Finistant is Makos Digital's own internal project, not a client engagement. The name is a portmanteau of "finance" and "assistant" — the idea being to help people with finance-related matters directly.
Challenges
As a self-initiated project, there was no client brief to work from — the team had to define the scope itself: corporate accounting, GST, income tax, and the surrounding customer-support work businesses need around finance.
Solutions
Work started in December 2023, with the goal of bringing the site live for the New Year. Makos Digital built it as an in-house project alongside client work.
Benefits
Finistant went live for New Year 2024, giving Makos Digital a real, self-built product to point to as proof of its own capability beyond client work.
Conclusion
Finistant remains an internal Makos Digital project — built the same way client sites are, but for the agency's own finance-assistance idea.
